Comfort Inn & Suites

While returning from a great time at Mardi Gras I was looking for a hotel to spend the night and continue on to Orlando the next day.

While driving on Interstate 10 I noticed many advertisements on the billboards for hotels at exit 56. This is also the exit for Crestview Florida. I took this exit and was pleasantly surprise that there were many hotels to choose from. All the major chains were represented such as Holiday Inn express, the Hampton Inn, Motel Eight, and the Comfort Inn and Suites.

After investigating the prices at several of the hotels I settled on the Comfort Inn and Suites. The reason being the hotel was only three years old and for the price of $69 a night plus tax which came to $73.14. The hotel offered a free breakfast, and free Wi-Fi, plus a mini fridge and microwave. The room was quite comfortable it had two queen-size bed and I like the high ceilings. The hotel is also located near all the major fast food restaurants plus a super Walmart. I also like the fact that I was only about 140 miles from Tallahassee which is almost halfway to Orlando. If you are traveling on I- 10 and are looking for a clean economical place to stay I would recommend the Comfort Inn and Suites located right off of exit 56.

The Isle

I have recently returned from a three-day trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. A very beautiful and friendly place.

While there I stayed at the Isle Casino and resort and enjoyed it very much. The hotel and casino are located in Biloxi Mississippi in an area they call the point. The hotel sits right on the bay of Biloxi overlooking Dear Island and the Biloxi Bay Bridge. The room I had was very nice with great views and a large balcony where you could watch the sunrise or sunset while drinking your coffee. There is a breakfast lunch and dinner buffet for your convenience that is reasonably priced or you may eat in the Café which is a small cozy restaurant with great views of the bay also. Another plus for the hotel is there is free Wi-Fi throughout the complex. On another trip we stayed at a larger hotel and casino located just a few miles from the Isle and there was no free Wi-Fi provided in the rooms you had to pay for it and it was poor reception. You could go to their coffee shop downstairs that was the only way you could access the Wi-Fi. The entire staff of the hotel are very friendly and knowledgeable. If you are planning a trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast I would highly recommend the Isle Casino and Resort. Check with your travel agent as they have honeymoon packages and also golf packages available.

Court of Two Sisters Restaurant in New Orleans

If you are planning on going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans this year be sure to stop by the Court of two sisters restaurant located in the French Quarter.

The restaurant is named for two sisters Emma and Bertha Camors. The restaurant has over 80 different types of items on its menu and are prepared fresh daily. You can dine in their large courtyard while listening to a great jazz band. If you enjoy such Creole dishes such as Veal Oscar, crabmeat, and shrimp you will certainly enjoy this restaurant. I would suggest that you make a reservation as this is an extremely popular restaurant. The restaurant is located at 613 Royal St. in the French Quarter.

The Olive Garden Restaurants

I have eaten in many Olive Garden restaurants from Orlando Florida where the original restaurant opened in 1982 to New Orleans Louisiana And I must say have always enjoyed the meals there.

The restaurant chain is owned by General Mills which owns the largest chain of Italian restaurants in the United States. If you've ever eaten in an Olive Garden they have a lunchtime special soup and salad with bread sticks that is incredibly good and reasonably priced. Their chefs are trained in Italy therefore you will receive authentic Italian food derived from Italian recipes. Sometimes when I am there for lunch I will order the eggplant Parmesan I like the fact that they have a lunchtime portion which is cheaper than the one served at the evening meal. So if you're looking for a pleasant place to have a great lunch or a fantastic evening meal be sure to check out the Olive Garden I'm sure you will not be disappointed.
