El Fenix Restaurant

The El Fenix restaurant is the original Tex-Mex located in Dallas Texas and dates back to the 19Th century. The original name of the restaurant was Martinez Cafe and was founded by Miguel Martinez. He began working in the kitchen of the Oriental hotel in downtown Dallas where he developed his unique culinary skills. In the beginning his restaurant only featured American type food. He later had the unique idea to offer his guest exotic taste of Mexican food. Combining this he was the original inventor of what we now call Tex-Mex. So if you're in the Dallas area and are looking for some exotic taste in the Tex-Mex style be sure to visit this restaurant you won't be disappointed.

Lawry's Prime Rib

If you find yourself in Beverly Hills and it is lunchtime you might want to try Lawry's Prime Rib restaurant.

I would suggest their signature dish roasted prime rib of beef aged 21 days and salt- roasted to perfection. The beef is carved to order at your table. This restaurant has been on many top 10 list since 1938. If you go to the restaurant on the weekend I would suggest that you have a reservation because they are very busy. For a truly exceptional dining experience be sure to try this restaurant for five-star service and food.

The Olive Garden Restaurants

Dining at an Olive Garden restaurant is truly a unique and pleasant experience you will not soon forget.

The restaurants have a lunch menu and also an evening menu to choose from. I generally eat lunch at the restaurant because they offer a soup and salad that is unlimited and serve with garlic bread it is second to none. Another favorite is the a egg plant Parmesan served with a side dish of spaghetti and garlic bread. So if you are looking for a truly enjoyable lunch or dinner meal I would suggest the Olive Garden restaurants.

The Grand Buffet

The buffet at the grand Casino in Biloxi Mississippi is second to none I like the fact that they change the menu nightly.

They use original gulf coast inspired seafood recipes the seafood purchase directly from the local boats on a daily base is about as fresh as you can get. Like I said before the menu is constantly changing every day so you will be able to enjoy a variety of fresh seafood like the Dungeness Crab and various shrimp dishes. The best part is you can fill your plate as many times as you like. For a truly superb meal with a taste of old Biloxi try the buffet at the grand Casino Biloxi Ms. for a dining experience to remember.

Restaurant Ownership

Many people dream of owning their own restaurant and think that their idea will make them a lot of money.

The restaurant business is one of the most competitive in the world and also has a record of complete failures. You may think that you have a great business plan or a new product such as grandma's recipe and that is all you need for success. But there is a lot more needed than this.

First you must pick a great location for your restaurant sometimes they do not come cheap. There are many hidden cost when opening a restaurant that you do not realize until you start. For example the cost of equipment, permits and licensing, employees and inventory just to mention a few. One of the major expenses that many people do not consider is advertising. Anything from handbills to television are expensive. Another example would be signage just to put up a sign on the outside of your business is very expensive. Don't give up your dream but you must research it thoroughly from every angle to know what you're getting into and make sure you have enough funds to sustain you for at least a year.
