I have been to New Orleans many times and enjoy all the typical food such as red beans and rice and jambalaya. But one of my favorites is the po-boy sandwich. This sandwich which comes in many varieties form the hot roast beef, ham and cheese, to seafood such as crabmeat and shrimp.
If you are visiting New Orleans for the first time and want to enjoy a great po-boy sandwich check out Mahoney's Po-Boy Shop located on Magazine Street in a blue building. The shop owned by Ben Wicks create a truly classic sandwich. You may enjoy a sandwich topped with such items as jumbo shrimp with fried green tomatoes, and a spicy roulade sauce served on French bread. Don't forget to ask for the Creole slaw served with chicken livers. So for a unique dining experience try Mahoney's Po-Boy Shop in New Orleans.
